Formosa Plastics, Texas Plastic Discharge Violations and Fines
Formosa Plastics’ Point Comfort, Texas facility discharged massive amounts of plastic pollution in waterways. When Diane Wilson brought a Clean Water Act lawsuit against the company, she won a $50 million settlement, as well as the world’s first zero discharge of plastic mandate. Since June 2021, the facility’s discharge has been tested three times per week, and Formosa Plastics continues to FAIL EACH TEST!
